Store bought baby food:

Chris, Andi's brother and his wife Leslie, got Andi an amazing baby food maker, but for beets, carrots, cabbage, broccoli and spinach, it's best to purchase those bottled when Sweet Pea is first introduced to solid food. (Because of nitrates in the soil that is absorbed by these vegetables. Jarred baby food, in this instance, may be the safest way to go.) Make sure the expiration date is after September 2010.

Earth's Best - around $4-6 for a six-pack of jarred food at clarksnutrition,
Plum Organics - boxes range from $3.49-3.99) at babysrus,
Healthy Times - $0.69-.99 per 4 oz at vitacost.com, shoporganic.com, clarksnutrition
Yummy Spoonfuls - $2 per 4 oz at amazon, yummyspoonsfuls,
Tasty Baby - at Amazon, $39.90 for six 10.5 oz. boxes, plus free shipping and boxedgreens
